Arbor Estates Plat 1
Construction is scheduled to begin the week of October 14th (weather dependent). At this time, Seamus Excavating, the project contractor, will be mobilizing equipment to begin excavation to grade out the project site. Seamus Excavating anticipates the excavation and grading work to take about 3 weeks.
After this storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main will be installed, which is anticipated to take about 6 weeks. Once underground utility work is completed, street paving operations will take place. The final stage of the project will be site restoration and cleanup.
This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of May 2020.
Downtown Traffic Signal Improvement Project
Project Update (11/12/19): The contractor intends to begin work on the E 4th St & 1st Ave intersection this week. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution in the area during the project and are asked to follow posted traffic control devices and signs.
At this time, synchronization between the traffic signals at the intersections will continue to be interrupted but a final synchronization will be completed at the end of the project between all of the signals.
The Downtown Traffic Signal Improvement Project started on Wednesday, August 14. During the project, traffic signal and sidewalk improvements will be made along 1st Avenue between W 4th Street and E 4th Street. Throughout various stages of the project, sidewalks in the downtown may be closed; the contractor will be responsible for signing alternative routes. There is also the possibility of temporary lane closures, lane reductions, traffic signal disruption, and delays; which the contractor will be responsible for.
Questions on this project should be directed to Public Works at 641-792-6622.
