Join Destination Newton for a magical holiday experience with real reindeer - perfect for family photos after shopping in our lively downtown area. Enjoy free hot cocoa and delicious treats too. Watch for signs downtown directing you to the live reindeer.

Enjoy horse and carriage rides, visiting Santa inside the Jasper County Courthouse, lighted displays, caroling, and the annual lighting of our courthouse! The event is free and is open to the public to attend.

Make sure to save the date for an enchanting evening filled with holiday lights at Maytag Park! On Friday, November 24th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Maytag Park will be closed to vehicle traffic, so visitors can enjoy a magical walk through the dazzling displays. As you stroll through the thousands of twinkling lights and over 50 beautifully crafted displays, you can enjoy a cup of hot chocolate to enhance the experience. This enchanting event is open to everyone, and best of all, admission is free. However, we would greatly appreciate any free-will donations to help support and sustain this magnificent display for future years.
