Newton Public Library
Children ages 3-5 and their caregivers are invited to join us for Preschool Storytime on Thursday mornings. Storytime includes books, music, and a simple craft. Siblings are welcome to attend. No registration required. There will be no storytime on November 11th or 25th, due to Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving.
Learn about drumming with this hands-on workshop by Fonziba Drums! This program is for children ages 5-12 and will be held inside the library meeting room. Registration opens at our Summer Reading Kick-Off on June 2nd.
Upcycle a glass Oui yogurt jar to hold a succulent or air plant with a simple macrame holder. Plants will not be provided, all other materials are. This program is for teens in grades 5-12 (grade just completed). Registration opens at our Summer Reading Kick-Off on June 2nd.
Westwood Golf Course
Junior Golf Play Days & Tournament takes place on Thursdays and pairs kids by age to go out on the course and learn to use the skills they learned during junior golf school and their clinics. Kids will be paired by age and taken on the course to learn to use the skills they learned in the junior golf school. Parents that can volunteer to take the kids on the course are always appreciated. Groups will be made at 8 a.m. and play should be over around 11 a.m. (depending on pace of play).
The Kids Clinics are one-hour long sessions for kids ages 5 - 7 years old focused on full swing fundamentals and golf etiquette.
