Hosted by Newton Main Street, the market features a variety of vendors and has something for everyone. Join the market on in downtown Newton from 4 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday, June through September. The Market is authorized to participate in the WIC Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP). The Newton Farmers' Market history began in the 1980's, started by local attorney and Chamber of Commerce member Herbert S. Selby.
Newton Public Library
Join SOAR Raptors for a program on wild raptor rehabilitation in Iowa. Presenters will show off some of their current patients, including live hawks, owls, and/or eagles. This program will be held on the library lawn and attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket to sit on. All ages welcome, no registration required.
Teens are invited to make scratchboard art with local artist, Danna Fruetel. All materials will be provided. Registration opens at the Summer Reading Kick-Off on June 2nd.
