Mystery bags have a different theme every month and contain a surprise selection of 4-5 books and movies, and an adult craft. Return the books and movies when you're done with them - keep the craft!
September's theme is "Books & Libraries". The September bag will include a selection of fiction and non-fiction books about libraries, book clubs, and book shops, as well as some of the library's most popular titles. The craft is a pumpkin Mason jar. Registration opens August 23. Please call the library at 641-792-4108 to register.

Make your own book page apple at home! Crafters will need their own exacto knife or scissors and a paint brush, all other materials will be provided. Registration is encouraged to reserve a craft kit. Registration opens September 13th. Please call the library at 641-792-4108 to register.

Maytag Park will be closed beginning at 2 PM on Tuesday, September 21 for the Newton High School cross country meet. The park will re-open to the public on Wednesday, September 22.
