Swimming lessons are held during the normal pool season. We are offering two sessions for the 2019 season. The first session will be June 17 - 28 and the second session will be July 8 - July 19. The cost is $30 per child per session. Register at the Community Services Office beginning January 2, 2019, between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday. We will take registrations until June 7 or when classes fill up whichever is first.

Maytag Pool can be found nestled in the center of historic Maytag Park, which is located at 301 S 11th Ave W. Since the pool was built in 1935, it has served as one of the main summertime family attractions in Newton. The pool features zero entry access, a chair lift, water fountains, two water slides, a diving well, and six 25 meter swimming lanes.

Join us for the annual Summer Concert Series at Maytag Bowl. Shows kick off at 7 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) and are FREE!
The Thursday, June 20 concert will feature Dueling Guitars.
Those attending are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets as well as their own food and beverage as they enjoy the music.
