The Cats of America: Ancient History and Modern Conservation
William R. Clark, Professor Emeritus of Wildlife Ecology at Iowa State University, will present a natural history program on cats—from sabertooth cats that once roamed North America to bobcats which are common today. Pumas that occasionally show up in Iowa will also be discussed. Learn about conservation challenges including habitat loss, climate change, conflicts, and hunting.
