Join the Friends of Newton Parks, City of Newton Parks Department and Clemon-Maki Insurance this holiday season at Maytag Park. The park will once again be lit up for the holiday season.

The Newton Dollars for Scholars Annual Home Tour shows off beautiful and interesting homes in the city of Newton! 100% of proceeds go to scholarships for Newton Senior High students. Tickets will go on sale in November. More info to come!

This class is for kids ages 8-12. Emily will lead your child through a cooking class, where kids will prepare and taste a variety of recipes. Register in person or by phone at Customer Service, or online at http://bit.ly/LilChefsDec18 Please report any food allergies or intolerances when registering. Cost to attend is $7 per child. Younger siblings are welcome to attend for an additional $7 per child. An adult must be present with any children under 8 years old. There is no charge for adults that attend with their child. There is a similar class geared toward younger children Monday, November 26.

Join the Jasper County Democratic Party and the Jasper County Republican Party for a community soup supper and fundraiser for a local nonprofit.

Join the Friends of Newton Parks, City of Newton Parks Department and Clemon-Maki Insurance for a historic night when the Maytag Park is once again lit up for the holiday season. Gates will open at 6 pm for vehicles to drive through the display. Santa will greet cars with candy canes for the kiddos. Those attending are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to be distributed to children in need in Jasper County. Santa and his elves will be collecting your toy donations.
