  3. Center For Arts & Artists Fused Glass Class

    Nourish your creative spirit and join us for this fused glass class. Layers of vibrant, luminous glass create a sparkling glass pendant for a necklace or window charm. In this class we will be using fine and medium glass frit, noodles with a full fuse or tack fuse technique. Our class pricing system is more equitable and allows you to purchase the number of pieces you want to complete - or add more as you go. The $30 class fee includes one fused glass pendant necklace and matching earrings or one night light. For each additional necklace set or nightlight please add $10. Finished work is available within the week and can be picked up or be mailed to you for an additional $6. These fused glass creations make great gifts. Come try it with a friend. Or make a new family tradition. Ages 5 and up. All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Cash, debit or credit accepted. There is a non-refundable $5 at signup. This goes towards your class fee.

  4. Miss Iowa USA & Teen USA Pageant Finals

    One of the year’s most anticipated events, the MISS IOWA USA® and MISS IOWA TEEN USA® competitions slated for October 7th, in Newton, was announced today by executive state co-director Denise Wallace of Future Productions, state pageant producers for The Miss Universe Organization. This year’s state titleholders will each receive thousands of dollars in prizes and awards. Most importantly, the new Miss Iowa USA and Miss Iowa Teen USA will have the opportunity to compete for the national titles of MISS USA® and MISS TEEN USA®. The new Miss Iowa USA will compete with 50 other state titleholders for the coveted title of MISS USA, live on national television next spring.
