The Newton Public Library (Newton, Iowa) is pleased to offer digital library cards. A digital library card will work as a temporary, six-month card that will allow you to use our digital materials – eBooks, eAudiobooks, and databases. Digital materials, including all downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks, are only available to residents of Newton, Lambs Grove, and rural Jasper County, Iowa. Once the card expires, digital cardholders will need to come to the library with a photo ID and proof of address and get their physical card.
Fill out the form below. A Newton Public Library staff member will reach out via email in the next two business days to confirm the activation of your digital card. NOTE: If you already have a Newton Public Library card, you do not need a digital card to access digital materials. This is a new way for people to sign up for a library card without being present in a building.
Digital library cards are only available to residents of Newton, Lambs Grove, or Rural Jasper County, Iowa. If you reside within the city limits of a town other than Newton or Lambs Grove, please contact your local library for access to downloadable materials. We cannot provide digital library cards to residents outside of the state of Iowa.
Thank you for submitting your registration! A staff member will respond via email within two business days to confirm your new digital library card and answer any questions you may have.
