CIRTPA

On November 19th, the Newton City Council reappointed Community Services Manager Brian Laube and Public Works Director Jody Rhone as the City’s primary and alternate representatives to the CIRTPA Technical and Policy Committees. The City of Newton is a member of the Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance (CIRTPA), which carries out federally required transportation planning for the eight counties in central Iowa (Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, rural Polk, Story, and Warren) and includes those county governments and designated cities located within those counties. The Ames and Des Moines metro area planning organizations are not part of the CIRTPA group.
