The ‘Get To Know Newton’ branding campaign will once again be positioned on a national platform as NASCAR rising star Jesse Little will carry the City’s brand logo on the hood and quarter panel of his potent Chevrolet during the Autolite Iridium XP 150 at Iowa Speedway on Friday, August 1.

Little, the 16-year-old son of former NASCAR Cup driver and 1987 West division champion Chad Little, will compete against over 30 talented racers from both coasts when the K&N Pro Series returns to Iowa Speedway for the second of two 2014 events on the track’s ultra-fast 7/8-mile oval. The 150-lap event will also be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 at 10 am CDT on August 8.

The unique, high-speed advertising opportunity will require a $5,000 investment. Accordingly, the City of Newton is seeking community promotional partners to underwrite the cost of the sponsorship, with equivalent advertising credit with the Newton Daily News and KCOB radio offered as an incentive.

“We are looking for up to four Newton businesses or organizations to make the cash investment and put ‘Get To Know Newton’ in front of tens of thousands of race fans at Iowa Speedway, and potentially millions more on national television,” said Newton Development Specialist, Craig Armstrong. “In return, we have arranged for $5,000 in advertising credit, half with the Newton Daily News and half with KCOB, to be given on a dollar-for-dollar basis to our promotional partners.”

“The City of Newton appreciates the generosity of both the Newton Daily News and KCOB in donating the advertising space and time to make this sponsorship possible,” Armstrong added. “Both media businesses are proud to serve our community, and we can’t say enough about their civic minded spirits!”

Businesses and organizations interested in participating with the City in the ‘Get To Know Newton’ sponsorship are encouraged to contact Craig Armstrong by email (craiga@newtongov.org) or phone (641-791-0827, ext. 22).
