Adult Summer Reading
Welcome to Summer Reading 2020!
Why should kids have all the fun? Read along with our adult summer reading program starting Monday, June 1st! Participating is easy; just check out 10 books from the library and log them using either the READSquared app or our adult summer reading log. Once your log is complete, turn it back in to the library for a free adult movie ticket to the Capitol II Theatre in Newton.* Reading logs are due by Friday, July 31st.
How to Participate:
Beginning on June 1st, paper reading logs will be available through the library’s curbside pick-up service. If you prefer to use the paper form, please indicate that you would like a reading log included with your materials when you complete your curbside pick-up request form.
If you prefer to log your reading using the free READSquared app, download the app from your device’s app store, or visit one of the links below:
Log the books that you check out from the Newton Public Library on your bookmark reading log or in the READSquared app. You may count any book that you borrow from the Newton Public Library, including digital eBooks and audiobooks through our Libby app. Earn a free adult movie ticket to the Capitol II Theatre when you log 10 books!*
When You’re Finished:
Paper Reading Logs - Once you have completed your reading log, please return it to the library at your next curbside pick-up appointment. When you pick up your library materials, leave the completed log in the collection box on the curbside pick-up table. Staff will collect the logs and include your movie ticket in your next curbside pick-up order.
READSquared App - Once you have completed your READSquared log, the app will automatically notify library staff that you have logged your 10 books. Staff will include your movie ticket in your next curbside pick-up order.
