Storytime

Join us for storytime at the Newton Public Library! Storytime is more than just books; it involves listening to stories, flannel boards, music, action rhymes, and activities like the rainbow parachute and bubbles. Don't worry if your child can't sit still for long; storytime is a great first-group experience for children and an excellent space for adults to connect with others in our community.

The Library offers Storytime sessions for three different age groups, and caregivers should plan to stay for the entire session:

  • Baby Storytime on Mondays at 10 a.m. for newborns up to 18 months.
  • Toddler Storytime on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for 18 to 36 months.
  • Preschool Storytime on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. for ages 3 to 5.
If you have children in more than one age category, choose the best session for your schedule.

No registration is required.
