Adult Programs and Events

The Newton Public Library offers a wide variety of free programs, classes, and events for adults. Download the monthly event calendar here, or pick up a copy the next time you visit the library. Event information is also located on the Library Calendar and our Facebook page. To register for an adult event, please call (641) 792.4108.

Monthly Mystery Bags

Wondering what to read next? Check out our monthly mystery bags for adults! Mystery bags have a new theme every month and contain a surprise selection of 4-5 library books and an adult craft. Return the books to the library when you're done with them - keep the other goodies!

The June theme is "Distant Lands" and includes books about travel, adventure, and faraway places.

The craft kit is a "Lord of the Rings" inspired hobbit door wreath.

Registration for the June mystery bag opens May 30th. Call the library at 641-792-4108 or direct message us on Facebook to reserve your mystery bag. Ages 18+
