Fines
Overdue fines accrue at 20 cents per day for all materials except videos with a maximum fine of $7.00.

Overdue fines for DVDs accrue at $1.00 per day. The maximum fine for videos is the cost of the movie.

$10.00 minimum charge for lost or damaged items. Lost materials returned with a receipt six months or less after the date of payment may be eligible for a refund. Refunds are paid by check at the next monthly bill payment cycle.

Library users will be charged list price plus $5.00 for all AV materials which are lost or damaged beyond repair. Refund policy is the same as for other library materials.

A $3.00 fee will be charged if lyric insert, pamphlet, teacher guide, or similar information included with library material is not returned with an item.

Overdue Notices
The library mails overdue notices for all materials except DVDs as follows:

1st notice - one week (7 days) after due date

final notice - four weeks (28 days) after due date

Overdue Notices for DVDs are mailed as follows:

1st notice - 3 days after due date

Final notice - four weeks (28 days)

Users may not check out materials after receiving a final notice for an overdue item until all items have been returned and all fines paid.

Two weeks after the final notices has been sent, the library will forward accounts with a minimum balance of $25.00 or more to a material recovery service. A $10.00 service fee will be charged to the readers account (minimum of 42 days after due date).

If the account is not resolved through a material recovery service, accounts that have a minimum balance of $50.00 in non-returned items will be forwarded to the police department for the appropriate criminal action to retrieve the material (minimum of 162 days after the due date).

Bills for Fines or Fees
Bills of $25.00 or more resulting from lost, damaged, overdue material or other fees charged to the user's account will be sent out as follows:

1st bill - one week (7 days) after bill date

Final bill - four weeks (28 days) after bill date
