The Newton Police Department is responsible for the
preservation of human life, public peace, protection of
rights of persons and property, prevention of crime, and
the enforcement of all federal, state, and local laws
within the boundaries of the City of Newton.

The Newton Police Department also serves as liaison to
the Animal Rescue League which the City contracts
with to provide animal control services.
