Throughout the United States, fire departments rely on countless
numbers of men and women to volunteer their time to the protection and
service of their communities. Newton is no different.

The Newton Fire Department utilizes paid-on-call personnel in staffing of
firefighter and EMS positions. These members of the department range in
various certifications and experiences from new firefighters to retired
career firefighters and paramedic specialists.

On-call members are expected to participate in monthly training sessions
and respond to fire calls from home and work.

These members of Newton Fire are an invaluable asset to the department
and the community.
