1st Annual Newton Professional Firefighter's Burn Foundation Golf Tournament |
The The Newton Fire Department's Local 1457 of the IAFF is hosting their 1st Annual Burn Foundation Golf Charity event on Saturday September, 13th 2008. The Four-Person Scramble/Best Ball will be held at Newton's Westwood Golf Course and all proceeds will be donated the Burn Foundation in order to help victims of burns with recovery and rehabilitation. Each year, an estimated 250,000 children are burned throughout the United States. Nationwide, burns and fires are the second leading cause of death of children under 5 and the third leading cause of death for those under 19 years of age. This is a great opportunity to help those affected by such devastation while building new friendships and enjoying the game of golf. - Catered meal will be provided - Prizes at several holes (including a new vehicle for hole-in-one*) - Cart included with registration fee - Golf with local celebrities If you are unable to participate, but would still like to donate, donations will be accepted and are tax deductible. We are also looking for hole/tournament sponsors. Click on the link below to download the appropriate form. We invite everyone to be a part of this wonderful worthwhile event. Registration is limited to first 144 golfers, so don't delay. For more information regarding this event, call Mike Crowe at the number listed on the registration or visit the IAFF Burn Foundation website. *Specific rules apply |
