As part of the City’s focus on LEAN initiatives to increase efficiency, the Police Department identified scheduling and payroll as an area that takes a significant amount of staff time to manage. Police Department staff researched several vendors and recently signed an agreement with PlanIt Police to manage the schedule and timesheets for the Police Department. Police Department staff will receive training on the new program during the week of February 20th with a launch scheduled for March 1st. The return-on-investment in staff time savings is estimated at over $10,000 annually.
