Maytag Pool can be found nestled in the center of historic Maytag Park, which is located at 301 S 11th Ave W. Since the pool was built in 1935, it has served as one of the main summertime family attractions in Newton.
The pool features zero entry access, a chair lift, water fountains, two water slides, a diving well, and six 25 meter swimming lanes.

Anticipated opening for Maytag Pool will be May 31st for the 2018 season, this may change based on last day of school for students at Newton Community School District. Click here for the pool hours schedule. Daily entry fee is $4.50 and children 3 and under are free. Toddler Time will be back again from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Lap Swim will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Monday thru Saturday.
Pool passes for the 2018 season are available now at the Park Office. Click here to print the Maytag Pool Pass form. Bring your completed form to the Park Office to purchase passes. Remember pictures will need to be taken for each person getting a pass. Prices will be discounted by 10% until March 31st, 2018. Please call the Parks office at 641-792-1470 if you have questions.
Swimming lessons are held during the normal pool season. We are offering two sessions for the 2018 season. The first session will be June 18th - 29th and the second session will be July 9th - July 20th. The cost is $30 per child per session. Register at the Park Office beginning January 2nd, 2018 between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday thru Friday. We will take reservations until June 8th or when classes fill up whichever is first. Pool Party Reservations
During the summer, private parties can be held at Maytag Pool. Reservations can be made online or at the Park Office beginning January 2nd, 2018.
